Rivers Crisis: Tinubu Says No More War As He Reunites Wike, Fubara, Lawmakers

The Special Adviser to the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has disclosed that his principal has reunited the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and members of the State House of Assembly, reports BusinessToday Ng.

it was gathered,  came a meeting between Tinubu and the aggrieved parties at the Presidential Villa, Abuja late on the night of Thursday, 26June, 2025.

The meeting with the President came after an earlier one between Fubara, the FCT Minister and the lawmakers.

Onanuga, who confirmed the development in a post on his X handle on Friday, 27 June, 2025, said Tinubu demonstrated he wanted peace for Rivers State.

“Rivers’ peace talks in pictures:

“President Tinubu has demonstrated once again that he wants peace for Rivers State. Just like he brought together the political gladiators to sign a peace deal in December 2023, he repeated the same on Thursday night, three months after he imposed the March 18 state of emergency.

“FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and House Speaker Martins Chike Amaewhule all took part in the peace talks at the Villa,” Onanuga wrote
