SFJOY: SanlamAllianz Hosts Nigerian Winners

SanlamAllianz Nigeria hosted the First and Second Runners Up, Radio Broadcast Category of the Sanlam Financial Journalists of the Year Award, Destiny Onyemihia and Blessing Enebeli both of Voice of Nigeria.

In its 50th edition, the Sanlam Group Awards for Excellence in Financial Journalism recognises and rewards exceptional business journalism in Africa. Easily Africa’s most prestigious financial journalism awards celebrating journalists across platforms on the continent, the competition is open to African journalists in print, online, radio and TV media who are based in Africa and working in African news organisations.

Speaking  at the event held at the annex head office of SanlamAllianz Life Insurance in Lagos, the MD/CEO, Tunde Mimiko, congratulated both winners saying, “for you to have made it to the top three is an endorsement of the quality of your reporting, professionalism and commitment to your craft. We celebrate you, we are proud of you and we are rooting for you to go all the way come the 51st edition in 2026.”

The recipients both thanked the Sanlam Group for instituting and keeping the fires of the awards burning, stating it has become one of the most sought after in business reporting on the continent.
