Super Falcons Wallops Zambia 5-0 To Cruise Into Semi-final Of WAFCON

The Super Falcons of Nigeria continue their quest for a record-extending 12th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title on Friday, 18 July, 2025, ass they cruised into the semi-finals of the competition by beating Zambia female national team 5-0 in the quarter-final clash, reports Business Today NG.
Osinachi Ohale hit the net early in the 2nd minute through header, latching onto a cross from a set-piece.
The 11-time champions was on the score sheet again after Esther Okoronkwo slotted home a shot after a cross from Rasheedat Ajibade
Chinwendu Ihezuo scored the third goal for Nigeria it after a long ball from Chiamaka Nnadozie found the striker, and she did the rest with a composed finish.
The second half brought more misery for the Zambians as Nigeria maintained possession and stretched the play.
After the break, Esther Okoronkwo delivered a free kick, with Tosin Demehin meeting it with a towering header.
Folashade Ijamilusi completed the goal massacre with a tap-in from a Rasheedat Ajibade cross, her first goal for the Super Falcons.
