The crisis rocking is the main opposition party in Nigeria, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) is festering like an open sore as the faction of the party led by Umar Damagun on Saturday expelled Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nysesom Wike, the party’s National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu and former Governor of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose.

Also expelled are Kamaldeen Ajibade, Austin Nwachukwu and several others.

The faction took the decision on Saturday at its ongoing national convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to the party faction, Wike and others were expelled for anti-party activities.

The decision was taken following a motion moved by a party elder, Chief Olabode George.

The decision was reported to have been promptly ratified by an overwhelming majority of delegates.

Meanwhile, Damagun has been ratified by the convention as the National Chairman of the Party.
