Three years after the deadly attack that took place June 5, 2022 at Saint Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State , Federal Government will on Monday, 11 August, 2025 arraign five men accused of carrying out  the dealy acts, reports Business Today NG

The suspects, Idris Omeiza, Al-Qasim Idris, Jamiu Abdulmalik, Abdulhaleem Idris and Momoh Abubakar, are expected to appear before Justice Obiorah Egwatu of the Federal High Court, Abuja to answer charge of  a nine-count charge bordering on terrorism.

The arraignment of the suspects comes barely three years after the then Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, announced that those responsible for the massacre had been apprehended.

The National Security Council had previously linked the brutal attack to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).

The massacre shocked the nation and escalated widespread condemnation both locally and internationally.
