Tinubu Approves Key Appointments in Science, Power and Fiscal Agencies

BY OLUREMI BADMUS –-President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday approved key appointments across Nigeria’s science, power and fiscal management institutions, naming new leadership for the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), and the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
The President appointed Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu as the Managing Director of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), Abuja.

SHESTCO is responsible for research and development in science and technology and also operates Nigeria’s nuclear research facility.

In the power sector, Engr. Adesayo Olusegun Michael was appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).

He also approved the appointment of new members to the Board of NEMSA.

They include Engr. Aliyu Abdulazeez as Executive Director (Technical); Ikechi Clara Nwosu, Chairman representing the South East; Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris, Member; Igba Elizabeth, Member representing the North Central; Sani Alhaji Shehu, Member representing the North East; Adeyemi Adetunji, Member representing the South West; Engr. Emmanuel Eneji Nkpe, Member representing the South South; and Engr. Charles Ogbonna Asogwa, Member representing the South East.
In addition, the President nominated Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Muktar, representing Kaduna State, as Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

The nominations have been forwarded to the Senate for confirmation, in line with constitutional requirements.
