Congratulations messages are pouring in like a torrential rainfall for the famous billionaire businessman and philanthropist, Femi Otedola, for reaching the age of 63 on Tuesday as President Bola Tinubu and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, congratulated him.

Tinubu, in  a statement he issued through his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Tuesday, described the Chairman of Geregu Power Plc as a model of excellence in Nigeria’s private sector.

Tinubu also showered praises on Otedola’s entrepreneurship, investments in the energy sector and contributions to national development, saying his commitment to philanthropy and corporate responsibility.

“As you add another year, I am particularly impressed by your decision to document for posterity that it is ‘possible to defy the odds, no matter how stacked they are against you’.

“I pray that Almighty God will continue to bless you with good health, wisdom, and greater accomplishments as you serve our dear nation and humanity,” Tinubu said.
Sanwo-Olu, similarly in his own a message shared across his social media platforms on Tuesday, said Otedola’s philanthropic interventions continue to make a national impact.

“Femi’s heart for people is as remarkable as his success in business.

“His generosity has touched lives across Nigeria, from supporting education and healthcare to championing causes that uplift communities,” the governor said, just as he also added that Otedola had remained consistent in supporting initiatives in Lagos State, whether through strategic partnerships, private sector collaboration or direct social investments.

“Here in Lagos, his consistent support and love for our state remind us what true partnership looks like,” Sanwo-Olu added.

“I wish him more years of impact, good health and happiness. Happy birthday, Femi,” Sanwo-Olu, said just as he also prayed for more years of fulfilment for the investor.
