Tinubu Submits 68 Ambassadorial Nominees to Senate for Confirmation

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday submitted to the Senate two separate lists comprising 34 career diplomats and 31 non-career nominees for screening and confirmation as ambassadors.

Among the prominent non-career nominees are Professor Mahmood Yakubu, Reno Omokri, Femi Fani-Kayode, Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd), Victor Ikpeazu, and former Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

Others on the non-career list include Prof. Vice Admiral Ete Ibas (rtd), Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, Senator Nora Daduut, Fatima Ajimobi, and Senator Ita Enang, among several additional nominees.

With the latest submissions, a total of 68 ambassadorial nominees are now before the Senate awaiting confirmation.
