Tragedy As Teenager Drowns In Kano Village Open Water

A 17-year-old teenager, Lurwanu Suleiman has drown in open waters at Dandalama village, in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State, reports Business Today NG.

The Kano State Fire Service confirmed the death of Suleiman through a statement issued on Wednesday, 30 July, 2025 in Kano by its Public Relations Officer, Saminu Abdullahi.

According to Abdullahi, the incident occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, 29 July, 2025.

“We received an emergency call from Malam Aminu Dandalama at about 12:54 p.m on Tuesday. We immediately sent our rescue team to the scene at about 01:25p.m,” he said

The Fire Service image-maker said that the victim was brought out of the water dead and his body was handed over to the Ward Head of Dandalama village, Alhaji Safiyan Usman, just as he also added that the cause of the incident was still under investigation.
