Following coordinated air and ground operations in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State,Nigerian troops have neutralised several bandits and recovered stolen cattle.

It was gathered the armed groups had attacked villages around Atabo, Zoma, and neighbouring communities, rustling large herds of cattle before attempting to retreat toward Zamfara State.

Air assets deployed by the Nigerian Armed Forces targeted the bandits, resulting in the deaths of several attackers and the recovery of the stolen cattle.

On Tuesday, some surviving bandits reportedly attempted to regroup and launch a counterattack to reclaim the seized cattle.
