UBA Issues Update On New Naira Notes

In a recent Press Release, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has shared updated plans to ensure effective distribution of the new Naira notes.

Please see below key highlights you need to know:

  • New Notes will now be paid over the counter at all bank branches. This is however subject to a maximum withdrawal limit of N20,000 per day.
  • ATMs will continue to pay the new notes (at a limit of N20,000 daily)
  • Customers are advised to keep away from unregistered persons or entities posing to be CBN officials and offering cash swap services. Please conduct all cash withdrawals at any UBA any branch, ATMs, or authorised UBA Moni agents.
  • Customers are encouraged to use the digital channels – Mobile AppLEO, *919# and Internet Banking for their transactions.
