BY NKECHI NAECHE-ESEZOBOR—As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc, in partnership with K-Cool Automobile Garage and Academy, brought the Car Lovers Connect experience to Abuja recently.
The event, which followed the highly successful Lagos edition held in August, drew a diverse community of car enthusiasts, drivers, and families who came together to learn, engage, and share insights on car maintenance and road safety.
Through this initiative, Veritas Kapital continues to champion a safety-first culture, underscoring its commitment to creating real social impact beyond the boardroom and beyond insurance.
“This Is About Connection, Education, and Protection.” Speaking at the Abuja edition, Mr. Abayomi Ayibosi, Regional Head (North), noted that the company’s drive to extend the program to the nation’s capital stems from its deep sense of responsibility toward community well-being and accident prevention.
“Car Lovers Connect is about connection, education, and protection. As a responsible insurer, we are not just talking about policies; we are helping people understand how to keep their cars safe, reduce avoidable breakdowns, and protect lives on the road. That is the heart of what Veritas Kapital stands for,” Ayibosi said.
He added that the initiative is part of the company’s broader mission to engage with Nigerians through meaningful platforms that promote awareness, empowerment, and trust.
Participants at the Abuja event enjoyed free vehicle diagnostics, interactive consultations, and one-on-one sessions with automotive experts from K-Cool Automobile Garage and Academy.
Led by Engineer Oluwakayode Increase Osorun, General Manager at K-Cool, the technical team educated participants on key aspects of car care — from using the right engine oil, brake fluid, and transmission oil to understanding tyre maintenance and early warning signs of mechanical faults.
“We found that most car owners overlook small details that can make a big difference,” Osorun explained. “By sharing this knowledge, we’re helping them prevent costly breakdowns and ensure safer journeys.”
Also speaking at the event, Mr. Arinze Adigwe, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, described the initiative as a CSR effort focused on real human connection and practical education.
“Our goal is simple: to be present where it matters most. When you empower people with knowledge, you protect their lives, their assets, and their confidence. That’s what makes this initiative so powerful. It’s not about selling insurance; it’s about enabling safer living,” Adigwe said.
He further noted that the Abuja edition’s success reinforces Veritas Kapital’s belief in shared growth and social responsibility, adding that the company remains committed to extending the program to other regions in the months ahead.
The Abuja edition of Car Lovers Connect reaffirmed Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc’s position as a forward-thinking insurer with a human face, one that prioritizes education, empathy, and empowerment.
By merging expert knowledge with community engagement, the company continues to demonstrate that true insurance goes beyond claims settlement; it’s about protecting lives, dreams, and futures.
