2023 Guber Elections: EFCC Arrest Four For Alleged Vote-Buying In Calabar

EFCC Operatives on election monitoring duty in Cross River State, arrested one Esther Edem, a Woman Leader in Calabar South LGA alongside Edet Okon Etim, Asanwana Peter Eyo and Joshua Emmanuel, for alleged vote-buying in Calabar, earlier today.

The suspects: Esther Edem, Woman Leader in Calabar South LGA; Edet Okon Etim; Asanwana Peter Eyo and Joshua Emmanuel.

He however appealed to the public to desist from attacking officers of the Commission as such action would no longer be tolerated.

Reacting to the incident, Executive Chairman of the Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa commended the operatives for exercising great restraint under extreme provocation.
