Security expert, Zagazola Makama on Saturday disclosed that on Friday night gunmen invaded Gidan Maman Bazamfare in Zamafarawa, Kwukun Waje district of Bungudu Local Government Area, Zamfara State and abducted five persons.
Makama, who made this disclosure through his x handle on Saturday, quoted sources to have said that the incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Friday when the gunmen, armed with AK-47 rifles and other dangerous weapons, invaded the community and whisked away two wives of a local resident identified as Lawal namely, Hajo Lawal and Kulu Lawal.
According to him, the attackers were said to have abducted three additional persons along Karkarar Dadin Zama village while heading to their hideout.
Makama added that security agencies have since intensified efforts to locate the whereabouts of the victims and ensure their safe rescue.
