Security personnel in Borno State have detained three individuals suspected of providing material support to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) during a joint security mission near Mainok community in Kaga Local Government Area.

The arrested individuals, identified as Fandi Adam Konto, Aji Bura Modu, and Tijjain Abubakar Aisami, were allegedly caught while conveying pharmaceutical products and other essential goods intended for insurgent hideouts in the region.

The raid was conducted by the Department of State Services (DSS) in Borno, working alongside members of the Forest Guard, following actionable intelligence reports.

Officials disclosed that the suspects were taken into custody during the early phase of the operation, while the seized materials have been secured pending further inquiries.

According to security authorities, the action is part of broader measures aimed at cutting off logistical support to extremist groups and enhancing ongoing counterterrorism efforts across Nigeria’s North-East region.
