BY NKECHI NAECHE–ESEZOBOR–In a bid to bring out the best in women in the work place, AIICO Insurance Plc, on Wednesday held its 2020 International Women’s Day Masterclass, themed: “Women’s Visibility in the Workplace”

Speaking at the event, held today in Ikeja, Lagos, the Head, Retail Life Operations, Titiola Okunola, said the company is committed to encouraging women visibility and this accounted for the theme of the conference.

She said that the company is sensitive to gender equality and assured that there is no gender bias in the company.

Speaking furthet on visibility, Okunola said visibility in the work place means women making themselves available to those who needs their service.

She said over the years women have proven they can do anything that comes their way and challenge any obstacle that tries to stop them.

She urged women to understand that being visible in the work place goes a long way to affect the country’s leadership.

She also urged them to endure that their visibility comes with value to those thattoo is up to them.

She furthet advised woment to speak out in their work place, contribute and be part of game changer in all they do.

Delivering the theme paper, Glory Edozien tasked women to deploy the use of self promotion ion positive way to improve their Career.

She noted that visibility enable people to sell yourself and understand their skills.

She explained further that speaking out and visibility goes hand in hand.” You can’t be visible if you don’t tell people about what you do or can do. You must be ahead. “

She advised women to pitch themselves to opportunities, sell value attend seminars and conferences and network.
