Allianz Nigeria Wins CIPM Award For Insurance Sector

BY NKECHI NAECHE-ESEZOBOR- Allianz Nigeria has emerged Winner, Insurance Sector of the CIPM HR Best Practice Awards organised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM). The event which took place at the CIPM Gala & Awards Night held today in Lagos.

The CIPM 9th HR Oscars™ is a rigorous assessment of organizations across different industries and categories and evaluates whether a company practices exceptional HR standards, implements outstanding HR initiatives, and promotes best-in-class disability inclusion practices. Their goal is to identify best practices and recognize achievements.

As such, the CIPM relies on independent advisers to assess for recognition the demonstrated proof of positive business impact based on the change, initiative, program, or process improvement described in the applicants’ submissions.

Allianz Nigeria offers employees flexible work options while providing infrastructure support such as work tools and internet allowances. Employees are provided a vast range of engagement activities annually including _Fitness Fridays_, _Bring Your Kids to Work_, _Mental Health Awareness Week_ and so on.

The firm also promotes a transparent and open communication culture with all employees equally able to access senior leadership including the CEO for informal interactions. Allianz Nigeria was the first insurance company in Nigeria to make WFA a work policy post the COVID-19 pandemic.
