BY BODE ADEOYE—The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has said he will appeal the judgement by Abuja Federal High Court presided over by Justice Omotosho.
Kanu’s former lawyer and consultant, Aloy Ejimakor, disclosed this that his client will appeal against the life imprisonment and other jail terms handed down to him.
Speaking to newsmen after the sentencing, Ejimakor said Kanu would appeal the judgment.“We are heading to appeal,” he said.
Kanu was sentenced to life imprisonment on counts one, two, four, five, and six, a 20-year jail term on count three with no option of fine, and five years on count seven with no option of fine.
