In celebration of Children’s Day, Alliance and General Insurance Plc hosted students from De Great Renovators School, Okesuna, Lagos Island, on an educational excursion to the company’s corporate office at 12, Abibu Oki Street, Marina, Lagos.
The event, held yesterday was filled with excitement and enlightenment, as the students were warmly received by the Managing Director/CEO of A&G Insurance, Mrs. Felicia Bolajoko David, alongside the Executive Director, Commercials, Mrs. Folasade Olafisoye.
Both executives encouraged the children to stay focused on their education, noting that the future of the insurance industry rests on the shoulders of bright young minds like theirs.
In her address, Mrs. Olafisoye urged the students never to lose sight of the greatness within them, reminding them that “the sky is only a starting point.” Her inspiring words left the students uplifted and filled with hope for the future.
The Director, Retail Operations (DRO), Mr. Johnathan Ifidion, gave an interactive session on the fundamentals of insurance. He introduced the students to the concept of risk protection and emphasized the importance of having an Education Policy Plan to secure their academic future. He explained that such a policy ensures no child misses out on school due to financial constraints.
Heads of Departments across the company also engaged the students, taking them through the roles their units play in achieving the company’s objectives. The students were given the opportunity to ask questions, which were met with detailed, enthusiastic responses.
The highlight of the day included a quiz session, during which students showcased what they had learned. Winners were rewarded with gift packs as part of the Children’s Day celebration. All visiting students also received gift items as a token of A&G Insurance’s commitment to supporting education and youth development.
