Coronation Insurance Grows Underwriting Income To N7.29billion Q3 2021 * Paid N4.16 billion As Claims

Coronation Insurance Plc, formerly Wapic Insurance Plc has released its unaudited interim financial statements for the period ended 30 September 2021 with  a net premium income of N6.63 billion in 2021 as against  N5.54 billion in 2020 .

The net underwriting income rose to N7.29 billion in 2021 from N7.25 billion achieved in the same period of 2020.

However the group gross written premium of dropped to  N2.752 billion in Q3 2021 from N3.924 billion while the figure nine months dropped to N11.066 billion from N13.264 billion in 2020.

According to statement released by the insurer  total assets rose to N41.15 billion for the third quarter ended 30 September, 2021 from  N39.72 billion recorded in 2020..

On claims paid, the insurer said a total of N4.16 billion was paid in in the period under review as against N2.74billion paid in 2020.
