Efekoha being decorated as the 40th President, of WAICA
BY NKECHI NAECHE- ESEZOBOR –Group Managing Director/ CEO, Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc, Eddie Efekoha, on Tuesday took the oat of office as the 40th President of West African Insurance Companies Association (WAICA).
The event which took place during the closing dinner to mark the 50th Anniversary of the Association, was held at Victoria Island, Lagos.
Efekoha, was also the past President of Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) and Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN).
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Insurance and a Master’s degree in Business Administration both from the University of Lagos.
He has worked with leading Insurance Brokerage firms in top executive positions including Hogg Robinson Nigeria, Glanvill Enthoven & Co (Nig.) and Fountain Insurance Brokers as pioneer MD/CEO.
He was the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of Consolidated Risks Insurers, the past President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) and the 22nd Chairman of the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) from 2016-2018.
At the 48th annual conference and general assembly of African Insurance Organization( AIO) Conference held last year in Kenya, he was admitted into the Executive Committee of AIO.
