ExxonMobil Nigeria affiliates receive top oil and gas awards

ExxonMobil affiliates in Nigeria have received three top awards from one of Nigeria’s leading national media organizations – The Guardian Newspapers. The awards are Oil and Gas Company of the Year (Upstream), Joint Venture Company of the Year and Executive of the Year (Upstream). The awards were presented at the maiden edition of The Guardian/Africa Consolidated Analytical Limited (ACAL) Oil and Gas Roundtable and Awards.

The Chairman, Editorial Board of The Guardian, Prof. Wale Omole, who presented the awards, stated that the awards were in recognition of the Company’s contributions to the Oil and Gas industry and the nation’s economy. He further commended all awardees for their significant investments in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, adding that the awards aim to acknowledge the roles and successes of key Oil and Gas players in the country.

“This is a huge honor for our Company”, said Paul McGrath, Chairman and Managing Director of ExxonMobil affiliates in Nigeria. “The award will further energize us to work closely with our partner and the government in creating a sustainable framework for competitive oil and gas investment”.

ExxonMobil affiliates have consistently won top industry awards for operational efficiency, economic contributions to the nation and community development. Recent awards include: Lowest Unit Operating Cost Producer for 2016/2017 (PSC Contractor), Lowest Unit Operating Cost Producer for 2016/2017 (Joint Venture Partner), presented by the Federal Ministry of Petroleum; and Best Company in Corporate Social Responsibility/Sustainability in West Africa (2015).
