Four Injured In Third Mainland Bridge Crash

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos Island Command, reports a serious road traffic crash that occurred at Adeniji, Ilubirin outward Third Mainland Bridge in the early hours of today.

Vehicles Involved:
1. Volkswagen J5 Bus (Grey)
• Registration Number: FKJ 725 YC
2. Mercedes Benz Truck (White)
• Registration Number: FKJ 746 YC

Four male persons were involved in the crash, which was attributed to a brake failure and speeding (SPV).

Among the victims, one who was trapped in the wreckage was successfully extricated alive by the FRSC rescue team.

All the injured victims, including the rescued individual, were immediately taken to Lagos State Accident & Emergency Clinics, Ojota, where Dr. Adeolu Arogundade confirmed they are been given urgent medical attention.

The crashed vehicles were cleared from the scene by the Adeniji Police Division, and normal vehicular movement has since been restored on the route.

The FRSC reminds all road users to ensure regular vehicle maintenance to avoid breakdowns and prioritize safety by adhering to speed limits.
