The Gabonese Federation of Insurance Companies (FEGASA) announces the organization in 2023 in Libreville of the 27th edition of the African Reinsurance Forum under the aegis of the African Insurance Organization (OAA).
Professionals from the insurance sector will meet over the next three years in the Gabonese capital to review specific subjects relating to reinsurance following the validation by the Executive Committee of the African Insurance Organization at the end of its 93rd meeting held on Tuesday 3 November by videoconference.
The next meeting, where more than 500 participants are expected, should provide a boost to the implementation of reforms in the reinsurance sector, especially since they come after the compliance of the OAA with the accounting system of OHADA (Organization for the Harmonization in Africa of Business Law).
In a statement Tuesday to the press, the president of FEGASA, Andrew Crépin Gwodock, also a member of the executive board of the African Insurance Organization, wanted to be confident about the success of this Forum because “aware of this challenge, we we will endeavor to carry out this new mission, in order to hoist the colors of Gabon higher ”. As proof of this, he saw the success last February of the organization of the 44th General Assembly of the Federation of Insurance Companies under National African Law (FANAF).
The AAO headquartered in Yaoundé, Cameroon has 287 members in 50 African countries and associate international members in 5 countries.
