Gunmen Invade Katsina Community, Abduct Ward Councillor, Dozen Others

A security analyst Bakatsine has disclosed that gunmen on the night of Sunday, 13 July, 2025 invaded Daudawa, a community in Faskari Local Government Area of katsina state abducted dozens of people, including a local government councilor, reports Business Today NG.
Bakatsine , who disclosed the development on X handle on Tuesday, 15 July, 2025, explained that during the invasion, the armed men abducted Hon. Buhari Aliyu Daudawa, who serves as the councillor representing Daudawa ward, along with several other residents.
“Yesterday night, bandits invaded Daudawa in Faskari LGA, Katsina State. They abducted several people including the ward Councillor, Hon. Buhari Aliyu Daudawa during the invasion,” Bakatsine wrote.
As at the time of filing this report for publication, exact number of those abducted is yet to be determined
Also as of the time of this report, security agencies in the state were yet to release an official statement concerning the development.
