Gunmen on the night of on Wednesday, 16 July, 2025 invaded Zagami community in Yankara Ward, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State and killed three day-old baby, abducted dozens others, including women and children, reports Business Today NG.
A security analyst Bakatsine, who made this disclosure on his X handle post on Thursday, 17 July, 2025, said the attackers invaded the village around 8pm and opened fire indiscriminately.
According to him, in the course of this “tragically, a three-day-old baby was reportedly killed during the raid, while the infant’s mother was abducted by the attackers”.
Although the exact number of casualties and abductees remains sketchy as at the time of filing this report, villagers described the development as one of the most tragic in recent times.
As at the time of this report, the Katsina State Police Command has yet to comment on the incident.
