BY NKECHI NAECHE—-The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) on Thursday took over the management of UNIC Insurance Plc.
The commission also appointed Chief Samuel Ordu as chairman of interim board to manage the affairs of the company in the next six months.
Others are the interim Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer is, Theophilus Eke; Ifeyinwa Ann Momah and Nicholas Shaiyen.
NAICOM noted that the interim board has an initial period of six months to do a forensic on the financial position and as well the corporate governance failures observed in the course of reviewing the financial statement of the company.
