Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc has been adjudged the Employer of the Year 2023 by the Faculty of Management Sciences of the University of Lagos.
The Company was conferred with the Award during the Faculty’s 2023 Staff Dinner and Award Ceremony in recognition of MUTUAL BENEFITS’ status as a leading employer of graduates from the Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Lagos.
The Theme for the Award ceremony was “Redefining Management for the 5th Industrial Revolution: Strategic Engagements & partnerships.
In her welcome address, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, P, Professor Folasade Ogunsola OON, FAS, congratulated the members of the Faculty of Management Sciences, describing them as the knowledge creation hub for other professions and drivers of productivity, growth and overall success in every organization/institution.
The Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, UNILAG, Professor Adeola Sulaimon, who presented the Award to the Mutual Benefits Team in his earlier remark has said that the Faculty is committed to advancing its partnership with the industry.

He used the opportunity to express the Faculty’s appreciation for MUTUAL BENEFITS’ support over the years, requesting more cooperation aimed at the continued growth and relevance of the Faculty of Management Sciences and the opportunities for students.
MUTUAL BENEFITS’ Team present at the event was led by its Executive Director, Technical, Joseph Oladokun, who received the Award on behalf of Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc and its subsidiary; Mutual Benefits Life assurance Ltd.
In its recent third quarter unaudited financial results Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc had released a result of Gross Premium Written of N34.34 billion, representing a 30.40% increase from N26.34 billion recorded in 2022.
Gross claims paid by Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc and its subsidiary, Mutual Benefits Life Assurance Limited during the same period stand at N 16,762,103,000.00. General Business paid N4,548,061,000.00 while Life Business paid N12,214,042,000.00.
