NNPCL Dismisses Port Harcourt, Warri, Kaduna MDs, Others

The new management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has sacked closes allies of Mele Kyari, former Group CEO of the corporation

Those affected are the managing directors of Port Harcourt, Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, and the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company.

Other senior officials of the national oil company, including Bala Wunti, Ibrahim Onoja, managing director of the Kaduna Refinery; and Lawal Sade, chief compliance officer and former MD of NNPC Trading. 

According to reports by TheCable, the shake-up has impacted over 200 employees across various levels, signalling the start of broader internal reforms within the national oil firm.
