Police Arrest Two For Stealing Telco’s Armoured Cable

Operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested the security guard of a telco company based in Ogba, Ikeja for stealing and selling the firm’s electricity cable worth N632,000 to a scrap metal buyer for N30,000.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Adebayo stole the cables from the company’s store before selling them to Amodu around 4:00 a.m. for N30,000 on Sunday. The cable according to the company’s source is worth N632,000.

Investigations further revealed that they have been transacting since Adebayo was deployed to the Ogba-based company as a guard from his employing security firm. The suspects have been charged to court.
