Police Nab Ex-Convict For Attempted Traffic Robbery

Patrol officers of Ketu Division have arrested one Mr. Olayinka Oluwaseyi aged 28, while attempting to rob a male motorist on Mile 12 Bridge.

‎The suspect, who was armed with two knives, was arrested on May 13, 2025 at about 1:30 am.

‎His swift arrest was made possible by the timely intervention of the patrol team. One other suspect involved in the attempted robbery is currently at large, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend him.

‎Preliminary investigation has revealed that Olayinka Oluwaseyi was released from prison three months ago for the same crime. He is currently in custody while investigations continue, with the suspect set to be arraigned once investigations are concluded.

‎The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has applauded the vigilance and professionalism of the Ketu Division officers.

He reiterates the Command’s firm stance against all forms of criminality, especially traffic robbery, and reassures Lagosians of the police’s readiness to clamp down on those who threaten the safety of residents.

‎CP Jimoh further urges members of the public to remain alert and cooperate with the police by reporting any suspicious movements or individuals.
