Unitrust  Insurance Reaffirms Support To CIIN

BY NKECHI NAECHE-ESEZOBOR–The managing Director/ CEO of Unitrust Insurance Company Limited, John Ijerheime, has reassured the President of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) of it’s support towards achieving his plans for the institute.

He gave the assurance when the President, Mr. Edwin Igbiti and his team visited the company, that relationship they have built over the years will only wax stronger as they work together toward achieving goals.

He also urged him to do more by also encouraging members to not just get insurance certifications but also improve their skills.

In his remakes, the President of the institute, Edwin Igbiti, said that the visit was in recognition of the underwriting firm’s avowed commitment to the activities of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, CIIN.
He added that the visit was to also extend the awareness drive of the insurance industry, the Organization as one of the Corporate Members of the Institute.

He said the focus of his administration will be on synthesizing the gains made by the Past Presidents of the Institute with prominence on the three-point agenda including digital reinforcement of the Institute’s operations; Insurance Awareness through Grassroot, Youths, and Insuring Public; as well as infrastructural expansion.

According to him he plans to modernize the CIIN institute by empowering its chambers while also creating insurance awareness by creating diaspora chapters, Training the trainers, commence on digital examinations, and more.

While seeking the cooperation of members companies  towards achieving the set goals, he said “the above agendas will enable us to work in line with the Institute’s core values and ensure that the Institute lives up to its vision and mission statements
