Universal Insurance Improved Profit Growth By 1645.87% In Q4 2020

BY NKECHI NAECHE-ESEZOBOR–Universal Insurance Plc has recorded a growth of 1645.87% in profit after taxation from N65.073 million in fourth quarter 2019 to N1.136 billion in same period of 2020.

The insurer also achieved N3.378 billion growth in gross premium written from N1.870 billion in same period in 2019; this representing 80.63% growth.

Universal a lead insurer in Nigeria’s insurance sector disclosed this when it released its consolidated statements of financial position as at 31 December 2020 on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange to dealing members.
