WAICA  Opens Registration Portal For Freetown Conference

The West African Insurance Companies Association has opened the registration portal for delegates to the forthcoming WAICA Education Conference in Sierra Leone. 

This information is contained in the 2nd announcement of the subregional body to insurance institutions in the subregion comprising insurance and reinsurance companies, insurance brokers and regulators.

Speaking on the development, the Secretary General of WAICA, Mr. Davis Iyasere said that registration through the portal is expected to improve conference registration and on boarding experience to remove the stress  associated with manual registration which is hectic, cumbersome and time consuming.

“The aim is to improve the overall conference experience and make it more conducive and enjoyable. Delegates can register from the comfort of their bedroom, he added.

On the choice of the conference theme, he noted that since insurance companies were grappling with many threats on many fronts.

“There is no doubt that the insurance industry is facing existential threats in the face of global challenges occasioned by the changing consumer dynamics and demands. This conference will address our minds on these challenges and proffer workable solutions ion the way forward”. He enthused

The theme of this year’s conference is : “Aligning Insurance Practice In The 21st Century To Serve Both Public and Private sectors” and is expected to hold at Mamba Point Hotel, Lagoonda Resorts, Aberdeen, Freetown, from November 12 to 14th, 2023.
