NO Increase In Fuel Price, NNPC Assures Nigeria

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited on Wednesday assures the public that there is no imminent increase in the cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.

NNPC Ltd. urges Nigerians to disregard unfounded rumours and assures them that there are no plans for an upward review of the PMS price.

Motorists nationwide are advised against engaging in panic buying, as there is presently ample availability of PMS across the country.

President Tinubu in its May 29th inaugural speech announced the removal of fuel subsidy.

Following the announcement, the NNPCL gave directive to all its outlets nationwide to sell fuel between N480 and N570 per litre, an almost 200 per cent increase from the initial price below N200.

Also in July, petrol pump was increase to N617 per litre at various outlets of the NNPCL In Nigeria.
