Custodian and Allied declares N2.47 billion Dividend FY17 * As Profits rose by 37%

BY NKECHI NAECHE—--Top insurer, Custodian and Allied Plc, has declared s dividend payout of N2.47 billion for its investors for the period ended 31, December 2017.

This is contained in a notice filled to the Nigerian stock exchange that the directors have recommended the payment of a final dividend of 32 kobo for every 50-kobo ordinary share of the company had paid earlier an interim dividend of 10 kobo per share making a total payment of 42 kobo per share in respect of the company’s result for the year ended December 31st, 2017, subject to approval of shareholders at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting.
The company has consistently paid dividends to its shareholders every year for the past 20 years.

The notice also added that the leading non-bank financial institution with investments in life and non-life insurance, pension fund administration, trusteeship and property holding businesses, announced an impressive audited result for the year ended 31stDecember 2017.

According to the company the Group’s profit after tax apprevistrd to N7.3billon when compared to N5.3 billion reported same period of 2016; indicating an increase of 37 percent.
