BY NKECHI NAECHE-ESEZOBOR—Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to putting customers at the heart of its service delivery.

The pledge was renewed as the global community marks Customer Service Week 2026, themed “The Extra Mile.”

Speaking at the opening of the Customer service week, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc, Dr. Adaobi Nwakuche, said the theme reinforces the Company’s commitment to taking ownership of the customer journey and delivering service that goes beyond routine expectations.

She noted that in insurance, the true measure of service extends beyond the purchase of a policy, to how effectively and promptly customers are supported when they need the Company.

“At Veritas Kapital Assurance, we see the extra mile as taking ownership of the customer’s journey. It means listening carefully, responding promptly and following through to ensure that our customers’ needs are properly addressed.

“Insurance is built on a promise of protection, and every interaction with a customer is an opportunity to demonstrate that promise. How we communicate, respond to enquiries and support our customers, particularly at critical moments, matter.”

Dr. Nwakuche said the Company continues to strengthen its service delivery processes and customer engagement channels, with a focus on improving responsiveness and making interactions with Veritas Kapital more seamless.

She emphasised that customer experience is a shared responsibility across the organisation, urging employees to remain intentional about the quality of every customer interaction.

“Every employee contributes to the customer experience. Sometimes, going the extra mile may simply mean taking ownership of an issue, keeping a customer informed or following through on a commitment. These actions build confidence and reinforce the trust our customers have placed in us.”

She further appreciated the Company’s customers, brokers and other stakeholders for their continued confidence and partnership, assuring them of Veritas Kapital Assurance’s commitment to continually improving its service standards.

As part of its Customer Service Week activities, the Company is celebrating its employees and reinforcing a culture of accountability, responsiveness and customer-centricity across its operations.

Veritas Kapital Assurance remains committed to protecting what matters to its customers through dependable insurance solutions and service that delivers on its promise.
